The Irondale Café strives to uphold the same old-times values that the restaurant was founded on. Supporting local farmers and producers, using only the freshest products available to prepare our daily menu items, and supporting the community on both the national and local level are just a few ways we preserve these values.

We purchase Alabama Farm Raised Catfish, Alabama produced Dairy Products, and fresh produce from the Jefferson County Farmer’s Market. Additionally, we buy goods and materials from suppliers located in Alabama. With our commitment and dedication to local farmers and producers, we keep our money in the state of Alabama.

Furthermore, we use only the freshest products available. From our fruits and vegetables to our fresh meats, we serve our customers only the best. Our fruits and vegetables are hand picked from the local farmer’s market. We even have our own produce stand to sell excess produce in prevention of waste. We also use only hand-cut USDA inspected beef and pork, as well as the freshest poultry available. Moreover, we prepare our menu items fresh daily. We cook our own chicken, beef, and veal stocks, as well as fresh vegetables daily. We even make our own ice cream, which is a favorite amongst the children and adults.

Supporting our community on both the local and national level is extremely important to our organization. We contribute to and sponsor fundraisers for local schools, churches, the Irondale Police and Fire Departments, Area Food Banks as well as local and national Charities. Our continued dedication to serve our customers and fellow citizens the absolute best is a tradition we plan on keeping around for at least another 75 years!!!
